An African Safari like no other

Welcome to Tsakane Safari Co

Tsakane Safari Camp prides itself on providing  unique walking safaris and wilderness experiences. Interacting with animals on foot or from a game vehicle and observing them in their natural habitat, from up close, is an opportunity of a lifetime. Our guides are experienced and knowledgeable, but above all, passionate about conservation and instilling this passion and knowledge in our visitors.  Sleeping in an unfenced camp with the calls of the night as well as home cooked catering, just enhance this wonderful experience.

Classic African Safaris

Tsakane Safari Camp focuses on providing a classic walking safari experience and therefore our camp, accommodation facilities, catering and hospitality services are designed to compliment your entire safari. Walking safaris are not necessarily about viewing game from the comfort of a luxury game vehicle, but rather about forming an intimate relationship with nature. Therefore, we take you on a 150 million year journey through time and our celebrated Rangers allow you to explore and experience how, why and when this amazing open ecology has developed into one of the world’s largest open ecologies.

Typically our Rangers will encourage you to experience the interaction between species and the importance of ecological diversity and how these ecological systems are managed. We never miss an opportunity to involve you in the age old art of tracking big game and experiencing the sensational thrill of approaching big game on foot.

We offer a wide range of Safari options, choose what best interests you

What do our guests think of us?

Thank you for inviting me into your living room and office (the bush!) The highlight for me was the bushwalk with “the encyclopedia” aka Terry!

Friendly, helpful staff and a particular shout out to Kyle and Bianca, who along with their knowledge, were great fun.

Some places on this planet can be called “exceptional”, this one fits this description. The warm welcome, the big garden, the atmosphere, the kitchen from Sandy, the exceptional explanations from Terry and Hardie.

We loved every second here!

Tsakane is without a doubt one of our favorite places in the world. Back for our second time, the experience was still unbelievable. Terry, Sandy, Hardie and all of the staff are incredibly welcoming, warm and knowledgeable and all round experts in making the bush experience accessible to the world whilst still preserving and saving the environment. We will definitely be back.

Arriving as guests and leaving as good friends!

How nice to learn all those things about the ecosystem of this wonderful place. Big or tiny; from elephant to ant and everything inbetween.. Its really interesting what you told us about the inter-actions of nature. Thank you! And….what a brave work you do to preserve all this. Hope you will succeed in your dream. (Coert)

It’s such a breathtaking place here. It was very special to sleep surrounded by nature and to fall asleep with the sounds of elephant’s pushing trees down and lions protecting their territory. The dinner in the bush was a beautiful experience! Also, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge about this interesting ecosystem which is so dynamic. So unfortunate to hear the threat established by humans. It is very brave of you to try to prevent the poaching! (Hester)

All in all, thank you for the wonderful experience! We would like to have the recipe for the delicious baboti! (also the vegetarian one)(Liseanne)

Thanks for your good care with the delicious meals all over the day. Dining in the bush with the campfire was a highlight for me. I liked the walks in the bush in the morning very much, it was so mysterious. The drives in the evening were also exciting, especially the one when we saw 2 leapards. I will always remember all of the special moments in your nice camp! (Nelly)
